A Seasonal Update

Clients agree…PR Works
…and it makes complete Sailing Logic as new client comes on board
Having resigned her post as Press Officer of Cowes Week in 2008 after eight successful years, and only recently taken up the reins as Press Officer for the Island Sailing Club’s annual J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, Peta Stuart-Hunt has now expanded her consultancy’s yacht racing client portfolio after winning a pitch to handle media and PR communications on behalf of yacht racing charter company, Sailing Logic.
Sailing Logic is already established as the most successful offshore race charter company in the United Kingdom. The business is South Coast-based and specialises in sail and race training services to individuals, teams and corporate clients. Peta’s consultancy, PR Works, has been appointed with immediate effect in a bid to help raise the business bar even higher.
“We are now in a position to take our business to the next level and are also employing a new Sales Executive to work alongside us in the Southampton office. Capitalising on our successes through PR forms part of our growth and brand-building process. We always strive to be the best, work with the best and deliver the best, and we know we’ll get the commitment, advice and results we’re looking for with Peta on board,” says Allie Smith, Managing Director, who founded Sailing Logic over six years ago.
Allie and her business partner, the racing supremo Philippe Falle, are on a real high having recently been awarded the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s 2009 ‘Yacht of the Year’ Award for their Puma Logic racing campaign. The exceptional results that Sailing Logic’s trainee racing teams have achieved, speak for themselves. Puma Logic with Philippe as skipper, has just won the Garmin Hamble Winter Series and their other yacht Jaguar Logic came second. Puma Logic has also won the RORC ‘Sailing School Boat of the Year’ for the last five years. http://www.sailinglogic.co.uk
To help handle the increasing workload, Peta is employing some freelance support. “After 25+ years in PR, 16 of which have been spent running my consultancy and literally doing everything myself, tapping into some top notch freelance resources now makes sense. I can still maintain low overheads which is very attractive to clients who are paying for my pro-active consultancy, experience, contacts and results rather than contributing to a massive staff salary bill.”
As she wraps up 2009 after a tough 18 months, Peta is heading into a busy 2010 relieved and delighted that her skills are still sought after. The PR Works 2010 client is varied, providing a busy, eclectic and fun line-up; Cowes Harbour Commission, Exercise TRANSGLOBE, the Great British RIB Rally, the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race for the Island Sailing Club, the Royal Yacht Squadron, Sailing Logic and Scorpion RIBs.
