It seems that there are going to be TWO Class 40 global race events going head to head to secure funding, entries, media, fans. How ludicrous this appears on first hearing.

As someone who has already been approached for an initial discussion about handling media comms for a race entry in the Global Ocean Race being run by Josh Hall (formerly the Portimao Global Ocean Race), I am concerned that all efforts are combined to make it the best race possible for all parties. Fragmenting the whole thing in such a way could very well be the undoing of both events if the organisers aren’t very careful. That would be a real shame.
I need to investigate further.
